JEFFREY
ELKINSON
Conyers Dill & Pearman, Bermuda

Jeffrey
Elkinson is a senior litigation associate in the
Litigation & Insolvency
Department of Conyers Dill & Pearman in Bermuda. He
has been with the
firm since 1988. His practice is in the area of commercial
litigation and arbitration, with particular emphasis on
trusts, insurance and
re-insurance and banking. He sits as an arbitrator
and acts as counsel in arbitration, both local and
international.
Jeffrey graduated
from University College Dublin (Trinity College) with
a B.A. moderatorship, an LLB and subsequently a MA., all
in law. He
also received a BL from the King’s Inns in Dublin. A
practising barrister
since 1978, Jeffrey is also called to the Middle Temple,
the Hong Kong Bar, the Bar of New South Wales, the New
York Bar and the
Bermuda Bar. He is a Chartered Arbitrator and a Fellow
of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Jeffrey
is the author of the Bermuda chapter of Butterworth’s
Offshore Cases and
Materials and
the co-author of the Bermuda Chapter
of the ICCA
Handbook on International Commercial Arbitration.
He is member of the BVI Bar, the International Bar
Association and the
Bar Associations of the countries where he is admitted
to practise. He is also fluent in French.
